New York protest for democracy and against Saudi intervention in Bahrain successful

Over 700 people attended a protest in New York City on Sunday March 27 opposing the Saudi Arabian military intervention in the country of Bahrain and calling for support to the democracy movement there.

Protesters came from all over the Greater Metropolitan New York area and included participants from many backgrounds.

Over the past few days protests have been held in many cities throughout the world each making similar demands: to end the Saudi Occupation of Bahrain, to cease the gross and fatal violations of human rights taking place there, and to hear the Bahraini protesters demands for democracy and civil rights.
